Angelica Joy Yu
Ph.D. student in Chemistry.She earned her B.S. in Chemistry in 2015 from Visayas State University, Philippines. In 2022, she earned her M.Sc. in Environmental Science from the University of the Philippines Tacloban. She has previously worked with various governmental laboratories, with a focus on laboratory quality management systems.
Her thesis project investigates how dissolved organic matter (DOM) structure impacts the photodegradation mechanisms of organic contaminants in aquatic systems.
Outside of the lab, she enjoys jogging, walking, and playing different sports, and she also values community engagement activities.
