Angelica joined the Transform Lab in August 2025. She earned her B.S. in Chemistry in 2015 from Visayas State University, Philippines. In 2022, she earned her M.Sc. in Environmental Science from the University of the Philippines Tacloban. She has previously worked with various governmental laboratories, with a focus on laboratory quality management systems.
Her thesis project investigates how dissolved organic matter (DOM) structure impacts the photodegradation mechanisms of organic contaminants in aquatic systems.
Outside of the lab, she enjoys jogging, walking, and playing different sports, and she also values community engagement activities.

Rockshat joined the Transform Lab in August 2026. He completed a B.Sc. in Chemistry in 2023 and an M.S. in Physical Chemistry in 2025 from the University of Chittagong, Bangladesh. During his studies, he worked on projects focused on the synthesis of transition metal oxide nanomaterials and the investigation of their photocatalytic, adsorption, and antimicrobial properties.
In the Transform Lab, he is studying the fate of organic micropollutants in Lake Okeechobee and seeking to understand their spatial and temporal variations.
Outside the laboratory, he enjoys participating in volunteer and community engagement activities. He also loves exploring new places and spending his free time playing cricket and football.

Postdoctoral Fellow
Rodrigo joined the Transform Lab in May 2026. Rodrigo Restrepo earned his M.Sc. (2023) and Ph.D. (2025) in Chemistry from Florida International University, where his research focused on developing remediation strategies for per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). He also holds an M.Sc. in Chemical-Biological Sciences from the National Polytechnic Institute (Mexico) and a B.Sc. in Chemistry from the University of Quindío (Colombia).
As a postdoctoral fellow in the Transform Lab, he is developing monitoring approaches to characterize the phototransformation of emerging contaminants. His research focuses on Lake Okeechobee, Florida.
Outside the lab, Rodrigo enjoys listening to music, playing the guitar, traveling, and spending time with friends.
